Rachael VanDyke, daughter of Edgar and Hazel VanDyke, was born in their small homestead farm near Baudette, MN on November 7, 1924.
Due to the depression and crop difficulties of the time, Raphael's family moved to Nebraska, then to Saskatchewan, Canada, then to Washington, and finally on to Oregon, where they settled on a small farm outside of Dundee.
Several years later, Rachael graduated from high school. It was while she was still in school and working in a concession stand at a baseball game that Rachael met young Eldon Parker, the third baseman for the rival team from Yamhill. Soon after their graduation in 1942, Eldon was drafted into the army and served in World War II. They kept up their courtship through frequent letter writing and were married in the autumn of 1945 while he was home on leave.
Eldon and Rachael had two children:
Donald Parker | Donald was born in 1947. He married Linda ???, and died in 2011. |

Eldon and Rachail lived many of their early married years on a small chicken ranch outside of Carlton, OR. Later, they moved to Coquille where Rachael worked as a legal secretary in the Coos County District Attorney's office until her retirement in 1982. Rachael and Eldon loved the outdoors, camping, exploring and traveling until Eldon's death in 1993.
Reagan Elmer Oberdorf, son of Elmer and Ruth (Miller) Oberdorf, was born in Berwick, Pennsylvania on December 11, 1919. Reagan served in the Army Air Force. While World War II was still in progress, Reagan married Hazel Jean Oberdorf on January 3, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona.
Reagan and Hazel had two sons:

Many years after Hazel's death, Reagan met Rachael (VanDyke) Parker, whose husband Eldon Parker had died in 1993. They were married September 8, 2001 in Waldport, Oregon. They enjoyed many years of camping, traveling, and walking the beaches. Rachael died on December 21, 2015. Rachael was preceded in death by her son, Donald. She was survived by her daughter, Lila, daughter-in-law, Linda Parker, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Marjorie Vassallo and Adrienne Scott.
Reagan then moved in with his son Reagan Jr. in Chico, California, and he died January 25, 2016, only one month after Rachael's passing. He was survived by his two sons, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
