A "Celebration of Life" for Gordon Leistiko was held April 1, 2005, in the Squalicum Boathouse, Zuanich Pt. Park, Bellingham, Washington. Attending were Gord and Marna's family, and many, many good friends, a testament to the man himself.
Gord received full military honors, presented by the Navy Color Guard, of Whidby Island Naval Air Station, honoring his 10 years of active duty, and his 14 years in the Naval Reserves. The sevice was officiated by Chaplain Refroe, U.S. Navy, retired. Music was provided by friends Matt and Sally Rauch.
Gord was laid to rest in Greenacres Moles Cemetery, in Ferndale, Washington.
