Samuel Hogg, the son of Robert and Anna (McCoy) Hogg, was born on February 9, 1820.

Samuel married Rachael Stephenson, daughter of James and Jane (McMurray) Stephenson, and they had the following children:

Clel Hogg	Born in ???
Anna Hogg	Husband's last name was Redfoot.
Jane Hogg	Husband's last name was Redfoot.

Chapter 42 of the " History of Butler County Pennsylvania", published by the Waterman, Watkins, & Co. in 1883, covers Slippery Rock Township. In it Rachael Stephenson is mentioned, along with a bit of the Stephenson family history.
