Historic 1894 map of Franklin Township, Bremer County, Iowa. Christian Tiedt had died in 1892, and his second wife Marie (Piehl) Tiedt now owns their family farm in Sections 18 & 19. Most likely it is Maria's nephew, Henry, son of her brother Henry (Hienrich) Piehl who owns the 120-acre parcel in Sections 29 & 30. Leopold Leistikow, who married Christian's sister Sophie, owns a 320-acre farm in Sections 19 & 20, and hs son Fred owns an adjoining 40-acre parcel.

Historic 1917 map of Franklin Township, Bremer County, Iowa. Shows Christian and Maria Tiedt's home farm is now owned by their son Rudolph. Various other Tiedt relatives have acquired other acreages nearby. Henry J. Tiedt owns 320 acres in Section 15 & 16, and is likely Chistian's oldest son. The Chicago Great Western Railroad runs along the northern boundary of their property. Henry J. Tiedt's wife is Bertha Buenzow, and her brother Edward Buenzow owns 380 acres 1 mile to the north (shown as 'Benzow' on the map). Christopher F. Judas, husband of Chistian's eldest daughter Louise, owns 320 acres in Section 10, just north of Henry J's farm.
