Christoph Miller, son of Johannes and Johanne (Wahl) Müeller was born on December 29, 1869, in Backnang, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

After serving in the German army for 3 years (things were relatively peaceful in Germany during these years). In 1894 Christ immigrated to the United States, arriving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he worked at the blacksmith's trade. He afterward moved to Waterloo, Iowa, and then to Dunkerton, Iowa.

Carolina "Caroline" Dorothea Webber was born on March 3, 1870, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the child of George Carl and Rosine Katherine (Fischer) Webber.

While in Dunkerton, Christoph married Carolina on October 6, 1895, and they had six children:

Elsie R Miller Born on June 27, 1896, in Dunkerton, Iowa. She married Cecil Glen Forney on May 27, 1920, in Waterloo, Iowa. She died on June 8, 1992, in Sumner, Iowa, at the age of 95, and was buried there.
Arthur Herman Miller Born on August 27, 1898, in Maxfield Township, Iowa. He married Malinda Matthias on December 19, 1920. They had five children in 15 years. He died on January 1, 1982, in Marshalltown, Iowa, at the age of 83.
Adolph Miller Born on February 5, 1901, in Maxfield Township, Iowa. He died as a child on September 5, 1902.
Harold George Miller Born on December 20, 1908, in Maxfield Township, Iowa. He married Lenora M. Boevers on October 9, 1929, in Readlyn, Iowa. They had two children during their marriage. He died in 1976 in Iowa, at the age of 68.
Hortense Caroline Miller Born on December 23, 1911, in Readlyn, Iowa. She died on December 28, 1989, in San Diego, California, at the age of 78.

Christoph resided in Dunkerton for year and a half before moving to Klinger. He conducted a blacksmith shop in Klinger until 1908. His services expanded to farm implement repair. In 1908, Christoph moved the family to Readlyn, Iowa and he was one of the founding members of the town. Here he expanded his business further by opening and International Harvester dealership. In Readlyn his last child was born. His three sons took over his business when he retired.

Christoph was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church of Readlyn and served as a member of the town council.

Caroline died on January 23, 1931, in Readlyn, Iowa, at the age of 60, and was buried there. Christoph died on June 28, 1953, in Waterloo, Iowa, at the age of 83, and was also buried in Readlyn.
