Lena remarried to William M. "Bill" Schmitt on May 22, 1946. Bill was born November 11, 1902, in Orange, New Jersey. He was a janitor for the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He served in the Air Force during world War II. Bill died of a heart attack on September 28, 1978 and was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Hannahville, Pennsylvania, beside the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Lena was a member of the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church at Hannahville. She died June 30, 2004 in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania. She is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Hannahville, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
